Oh dear. If this is serious I have lost all hope for an informed generation.
Firstly, I don’t try to offend people with my views, I don’t get offended if somebody says they DO believe in God, if somebody says “Oh my God” I don’t get offended. As much as you have the right to believe what you believe, so do I. Also, please don’t think my views as an atheist are expressed as a direct attack on Christianity because I think the same thing for all religions. Religion is the disregard of fact to preserve ancient writings used to explain the unknown and as a guide to the ideal, science, however, is the constant disproval of what is already known to gain a greater understanding. Do you think I would agree with blind faith based on one book quoted and used as a shield for hypocrisy, that promotes violence and hatred while condemning exactly the same thing? Do you think i would agree with society’s views that when armed with said book people can make horrible decisions and do horrible things but NOBODY can say otherwise as we might offend said people? I see nothing good in the concept of religion. Your religion is like a penis, be proud of it, sure, but don’t display it obnoxiously in public or shove it down my throat.
